The sub-mark iQOO live is preparing to launch its cheapest entry-level phone to date, which will be called the Z9 Lite. According to a usually reliable tipster at X, the Z9 Lite will become official in mid-July. It comes in brown and blue, and unfortunately that’s all the details we know about the phone so far. However, some rumors claim that it will be a rebranded vivo T3 Lite, which will be unveiled on June 27.
If the rebranding really happened, then we will know the full specifications of the Z9 Lite next week. Meanwhile, note that the T3 Lite appears to have dual rear cameras and stereo speakers. vivo said it’s their cheapest phone, so the iQOO Z9 Lite should also be iQOO’s cheapest 5G device.
The vivo T3 Lite is said to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC and so the iQOO Z9 should use the same chipset if it is just a new version of the vivo. Considering the current position of the Z9 and Z9x in the Indian market, it is very likely that the Z9 Lite will be priced below INR 12,000 (€133) – perhaps much below, in fact. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when we know more about it.
