H Nothing he presented it first smartphones from CMF’s affordable brand, the CMF Phone 1, a device with a user-replaceable back panel and a Mediatek 7300 chipset.
The device has a Super AMOLED display of 6.67 inches with Full HD + resolution and a maximum brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. There is a 16 MP selfie camera and a fingerprint scanner below the display.
On the back, the CMF Phone 1 sports a 50MP f/1.8 sensor, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor.
Design is everything in the CMF series and the Phone 1 has some nice ideas to show for it. The back panel features a mounting point where you can add a range of accessories. And the panel itself is easily replaceable, so you can change the color of your phone or get a new one in case of damage.
The removable panel also facilitates other repairs, potentially extending the life of the phone.
The CMF Phone 1 runs Nothing OS 2.6 and Android 14. It offers some customization features like the AI ​​​​Wallpaper Generator, but it is mostly the same interface as any Nothing smartphone.
CMF Phone 1 will receive 2 years of major Android updates and 3 years of security updates.
The phone comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging and also offers 5W reverse wired charging. However, there is no wireless charging.
The phone is IPX2 certified for water resistance. This alone guarantees that it can withstand water drops. However, Nunda says it survived being submerged in 25 cm of water for 3 seconds in its test.
The CMF Phone 1 will start at INR 15,999 for a 6/128GB variant which will be exclusive to India. The 8/128GB option will be available in every market where Niente sells its phones and will cost INR 17,999 / £209 / €239. Finally, a flagship 8/256GB model will cost £239 / €279, but it won’t come to India .
In the United States, the CMF Phone 1 will only be available through Nothing’s “US Beta Program.”
The color options are black, orange, blue and mint green. A new rear frame will set you back £29. There’s also a stand, cord or card holder that can be attached to the mount – each costing £19.
