Think of the most idyllic holiday destinations and perhaps stretches of white sand and crystal clear waters come to mind. You don’t have to look too far to find them: many of these are right in Italy. This is confirmed by an analysis carried out by Holidu which cross-referenced the scores and the number of reviews collected on Google Mapsone of the most consulted sources by those looking for information on tourist destinations, to make the ranking of 30 most loved Italian beaches of 2025.
At the top of the list is the Rabbit Beachin Lampedusa, which with an average rating of 4.9 from almost 3000 reviews confirms a success that has lasted for years, supported by a constant flow of Italian and foreign tourists. He climbed to second place Cala Marioluin the Baunei area, in Sardinia, with 4.8 points and more than 5,500 reviews. Win the third step The towerin the south of the island, which despite having a slightly lower average (4.7) stands out from all the others in terms of the number of reviews: more than 15,800, the highest volume of the entire ranking.
Sardinia dominates the ranking with 22 beaches out of 30
Scrolling down the list, almost three out of four beaches in the first thirty are located in Sardinia. The most popular beaches in the rest of Italy
The remaining beaches in the ranking come from five different regions, each with its own interpretation of paradise. From the Calabria there are the beachArcomagnus to San Nicola Arcella, and the Roundabout of Tropeaboth appreciated for a landscape context even less crowded. Here Apulia is present with Wild Port to Nardò, e San Pietro in Bevagna in Manduria, which closes the ranking in thirtieth place, but with a solid score: 4.6 on about 3,400 reviews.
From the Liguria there are Boccadassethe small fishing village which, even if it is incorporated into the city of Genoa, keeps its identity intact with respect to the surrounding urban context. Here Tuscany enters the ranking with Spiaggia di Cavoli all’Island of Elbaone of the most popular destinations in the archipelago. Closing the list is Campaniawith i Baths of Queen Giovanna in Sorrento: the only entry without sand of the entire top 30, confirming that the sea most loved by Italians does not need a beach in the strict sense to win those who visit it.
