iPhone 16: Apple prepares for 100 million orders – Three reasons that could make it more popular than iPhone 15

Despite the good sales of the series iPhone 15 u Apple wait for the iPhone 16 it will sell even better, with up to 10 million additional units expected by 2024.

In an article by CTEE, it was revealed that Apple is ordering 100 million A18 chips for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. New updates to the iPhone 16 this year that could explain this sudden demand.

The biggest and most notable update coming to this year’s iPhones is Apple Intelligence. The standard iPhone 15, despite being one of the best iPhones, cannot run Apple Intelligence on the device because it lacks the necessary power. The iPhone 16 (all models), on the other hand, is expected to be able to run normal AI.

Apple Intelligence is expected to change the way you use the iPhone, doing things like intelligently organizing messages and emails, creating Shortcuts to quickly do your favorite things on the device, and significantly improving Siri.

The iPhone 15 is equipped with the A16 Bionic chip, the chip used by the previous one iPhone 14 Pro Max. With the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max to use the A17 Pro chip, this meant that standard iPhone users would still be using last year’s technology. Now, for the first time since iPhone 13 the iPhone 16 is expected to get the same chip as its Pro counterpart.

This chip is supposed to have a 6-core GPU and focus on use with Apple Intelligence. It is reported to be based on TSMC’s 3nm process, and similar reports claim that the Pro model will have an updated “Pro” version of the A18 chip.

Alongside the new chip and Apple Intelligence, the standard series of the iPhone 16 could have an updated 8 GB of RAM, which allows it to process more complex tasks on the device. That’s 2GB more than last year and will make any software (including AI) run better.

In addition to this, the iPhone 16 is also said to receive the action button of the iPhone 15 Pro and a new capture button for easy access to the camera without having to set new shortcuts.
