Xiaomi 15 Pro: Changed from the main camera to variable aperture

New rumors about Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro which will be the first smartphones which will feature Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, and is expected to launch in October.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro is now rumored to come with a new 50MP main camera with a single (but large) aperture and a “super large” sensor., according to popular tipster Chinese Digital Chat Station. So the variable aperture is not inherited from its predecessor.

The new aperture will be paired with a 50MP 3x telephoto zoom camera with periscope, and the phone will be slightly thinner overall than its predecessor.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro will also have a “2K” resolution micro-curved screen, like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, a very large battery and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the screen.

U Xiaomi 14 Pro it never became available outside of China and the Xiaomi 15 Pro may unfortunately suffer the same fate.

According to previous rumors, the ultrawide of the 15 Pro will also have a resolution of 50 MP and the main camera will use the 1″ OmniVision OV50K sensor. The periscope zoom camera will probably use the Sony IMX882.
