OnePlus It is now reported to be working on next-generation Ace-badged models for the Chinese market. Over the weekend, tipster Digital Chat Station published a post on Weibo claiming that the Ace 5 series of smartphones will be announced later this year in China. The leak also suggests that the company may announce two models, the OnePlus Ace 5 and the Ace 5 Pro. In a new leak, the tipster has apparently also revealed the key specifications of the Ace 5.
The Weibo post above suggests that the OnePlus Ace 5 will sport a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO display. The screen offers a resolution of 1.5K and a microcurve design.
The OnePlus Ace 3 featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 5,500mAh battery. It looks like the Ace 5 will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As for the battery, it looks like the new device will sport a massive 6,200mAh dual-cell battery with 100W fast charging support.
The leak also reveals that the Ace 5 has a 50MP primary camera backed by a large sensor. Finally, the device also has a notification slider. The details of the other phone are so far unknown. It is speculated that the same phone may be renamed OnePlus 13R when it is launched in the global market.
The specifications of the Ace 5 Pro are yet to be revealed. While it is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the OnePlus 13, which is expected to debut in early October or November, may also have the same chip. While the Ace 5 Pro will focus mainly on performance, the OnePlus 13 will be an all-rounder, including its flagship cameras.
