Fortinet Security Day 2024 in Athens with more than 900 specialized visitors

The Fortinet Security Day 2024, held on September 16 at the iconic Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, was a huge success, bringing together more than 900 technology professionals, industry partners and cybersecurity experts. This year’s event, one of the most important in the cyber security calendar, provided a dynamic platform for the discussion, which was about the future of the industry, as well as the latest innovations.

The event started with a warm welcome from the journalist Mrs. Katerina Tsamouriwhich set the tone for a day full of enlightening discussions and expert presentations.Mr. Leonidas TugiannidisFortinet’s Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe, Greece and Cyprus, followed with an introduction, highlighting the importance of anticipating emerging cyber threats and protecting our digital assets in today’s digital world.

A special speech was made by Mr. Michalis BletsasHead of the National Cyber​​​​Security Authority of the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance, highlights the critical role of cybersecurity in Greece’s ongoing digital transformation.

The program was packed with insightful presentations from leading Fortinet experts, including an in-depth analysis of “Security-Driven Platform: Integrating Protection into Networks.” Mr. Eli ParnassusVice President of Fortinet in Israel, Greece and Eastern Europe, which – among other things – emphasized the need to adopt a security platform that integrates protection in all networks.

U Mr. Philip CassiniGlobal Technical Officer, SVP Consulting Systems Engineering, in his speech “Threat Hunting Exercise using GenAI and the Fortinet Security Fabric”, referred to the advantages of leveraging AI to defend against evolving cyber threats. These sessions highlighted Fortinet’s leadership in cybersecurity solutions that protect businesses and organizations in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

U Mr. Melih KirkgozFortinet’s Senior Director Systems Engineering International Emerging, presented his views on “Breaking Silos: Building Resilient Future-Proof Cybersecurity Platforms” and highlighted Fortinet’s ongoing efforts for a unified defense that stands strong against challenges of evolving and emerging threats.

U Mr. Apollinaire They diethe Director of Fortinet Business Development Cloud Security, shared some of his extensive experience in the business world, focusing his thoughts on cloud services.

Participants also had the opportunity to participate in Workshops hosted by Fortinet partners. These sessions provide practical insights into the implementation of technologies offered by Fortinet, including Fortinet SASE and FortiNAC. The workshops have been highly praised for their hands-on approach, allowing participants to gain an in-depth understanding of innovative cyber security solutions.

The event concluded again this year with the expected Partner Award, which were presented by Mrs. Dimitra TriantafillouChannel Sales Manager of Fortinet for Greece, Hungary and Cyprus. The awards recognized the outstanding contributions of Fortinet partners over the past year, celebrating excellence in a variety of areas.
